Reactor retail designs retail concepts and brand identities and for this project we worked together on visual merchandising guidelines and instore islands for electronics/durable chain Lefdal, currently called Elkjøp, in Norway.

Reactor created inspirational areas per zone for the new concept. We created product ranges for these islands, where products from different areas are presented together, telling a story. To inspire the customer and create impuls buy. We included props to emphasize the stories. The islands were worked out in sketchup to create 3D images and therefor easily implemented in all stores accross Norway.

As the new concept was rolled out in Norway, a strategy was created to give HQ management team insight on the importance of visual merchandising, how to roll it out consistently in all stores, how to implement marketing stories and how to sell-in with all this knowledge.

Based on this, we gave visual merchandising training and created a customized visual merchandising manual for management and staff. We organized workshops on the shopfloor and handed out A4 manuals made in InDesign.
