Hudson’s Bay is a department store chain from Canada and had openend several department stores in the Netherlands, starting in Amsterdam on the Rokin. With my experience as VM manager for Nike Northern Europe, I was hired to manage the VM department at Hudson’s Bay Maastricht. The job started pre-opening and we build up the store from scratch.
Managing the whole process of installing fashion brands shop-in-shops, setting up the inspirational islands, implementing windows, being the go-to person for external brands, organizing all POS materials, etc…
Once open, the goal as visual merchandising manager was to drive sales through VM. Manage, develop & train the VM team to raise the standards. With the VM team we managed and installed the seasonal campaigns & promo’s and to oversee & implement all HB product presentation guidelines. We also trained the sales force on how to maintain the guidelines.
With Maastricht management team, we kept a consistent communication between floor managers, logistics and head office on collections, campaigns, challenges and opportunities.
